Best Regards Tori, Thank You!

It is with such sadness that we  inform everyone that Tori is no longer going to be teaching for CCA.  She has decided for health reasons that she is not able to continue teaching in 2015.  Tori has been with Carolina Country Acres for 12 plus years and has taught many, many kids and adults how to ride over the years.    We will miss her a great deal and wish her the best of luck! She will still continue to teach through Saturday, January 10

 Welcome Shannon Fletcher!

We are so excited to introduce our new instructor, Shannon Fletcher to everyone!  She will begin teaching horse  lessons this week on Wednesday the 14th (please note we will have a make up instructor this Saturday).   Please help us to welcome Shannon to CCA!

Shannon Fletcher grew up riding horses in and around Waxhaw where she currently has a small private boarding barn with her husband and 6 year old son, Whit.  She was showing horses competitively on the A circuit by the time she was 10 years old, and has been showing in the hunters and equitation divisions ever since. As a junior rider she had a lot of success with the talented, but tough Second City. Together they won the VHSA Children’s Medal Final in 1992, and qualified in 1993 for The Pennsylvania National, the Washington International, and the National Horse Shows in the Amateur Owner Hunters.

Shannon has won in the Junior and Amateur ring at prestigious shows such as HITS Ocala, Lexington National, HITS Culpeper, the Kentucky Horse Park, Deep Run, the Homestead, Duke, NC State Fair, Aiken Spring Classics, and more.  Shannon has had many successful partners including her wonderful A/O horse Old Guard, and more recently a very nice green prospect horse that she trained named Toulouse.

Shannon has trained under many of the countries top trainers including, but not limited to George Morris, Danny Robertshaw, Ron Danta, Todd Wisegarver, Pat Dodson, Don Sheehan, Daniel and Cathy Geitner, and Jeannie Smith.  She feels lucky to have learned so much from these great horsemen and is excited to pass some of this knowledge on to students at CCA.
